Momtazuddin Ahmed:

Momtazuddin Ahmed is a one of the most popular Bangladeshi playwright-actor and educationist. He was born on January 18, 1935 Maldaha, Bengal Presidency, British India now Bholahat in Chapainawabganj, Bangladesh. HeĀ  has written around 25 plays for both stage, radio and television and directed lots of them. Popular Momtazuddin Ahmed also written lots of novels, research papers, essays, newspaper columns, screenplays for cinema, text books for primary and secondary educations of Bangladesh. He was also acted many TV dramas like Aaj Amader Chuti, Nondito Noroke (1978), Prio Podo Rekha, Shohochor, Niloy Naa Jani, Kul Nai Kinar Nai, Bondhu Amar, Shuvo Somachar, 1971, Eka Eka etc.

Momtazuddin Ahmed received many awards as well as Bangla Academy Literary Award (1976), Ekushey Padak (1997), Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy honored him as one of the outstanding playwrights in Bangladesh (2008) etc.
